Position Title: ISSO Support Intermediate

  

This position provides technical, engineering, and ISSO support for client’s systems in the different stages of the SDLC/RMF framework, development and maintenance of System Security Plans and documentation, Compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev, support of acquisition and maintenance of system’s Authorization to Operate.


Performs research and writes  a wide  variety  of technical  copy for professional documents, including  program reports and procedures, documentation,  training   materials, including  analysis and compilation   of diverse policy,  technical,  statistical,  demographic,  and financial  information. Leads documentation production teams.

 

 

Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Support Intermediate:

 

 

Responsible for supporting Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) with the following:

 

Developing and maintaining   System Security Plans (SSP). Implementing   and managing NIST 800-53 Rev.  4 Security Controls.

 

Supporting the SA&A process.

 

Supporting Continuous Monitoring activities.

Managing   POA&Ms and developing remediation strategies.

Aligning systems activities to the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF).

 

Supporting the incident response process.

Identifying and supporting system Interconnection Security requirements.

 

Supporting audit logging   review and remediation activities. Providing OMB FISMA data.

 

Developing and documenting incident reporting procedures for service desk, admins, security staff for incidents.

Minimum Certification Requirements: At least one security certification from the following issuing   bodies: (ISC)², Comp TIA,  ISACA, GIAC, CISCO, EC - Council,   IAPP, or equivalent.

 

Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelors of Science degree preferably in Information Systems,  Computer Engineering,  Computer  Science,  or Cyber Security,  or equivalent experience.

 

Minimum Years of Experience:      5



Physical Requirement:  Work may involve sitting for extended periods. May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.  Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of manufacturing and military sites or facilities where necessary.



Work Environment:  Generally an office and data center lab environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.



Equipment and Machines:  Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.), and/or other industry-specific equipment.



Attendance:  Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule and Performance Work Statement (PWS) contract is critical.  Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements, when required.



Other Essential Functions:  Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be able to travel when necessary to accommodate customer and program requirements.
